My newly revived HTPC has really been up and down since the upgrades of the new XFX Radeon 5850 and Windows 7. The first problems were with drivers: Asus did not offer P5N32 updates for onboard devices (sound, ethernet and chipset) when Windows 7 came out. Serves me for hanging on to my legacy hardware.

ATI Catalyst 10.8 drivers have been added to my running log of benchmark results, which now feature hawt graphs! I have also added the STALKER: Call of Pripyat Benchmark tool, and compared this to the great numbers seen by the 10.7's.

iPhone 4 in Canada In their latest PR release about iPhone 4 sales, Apple once again confirmed the iPhone 4 will be launched in Canada “by the end of July”. We have received two separate emails that provide specific information to corroborate a pending July 23rd launch.

This is the first GPU I've purchased for a desktop since my dual 7950GT's. Even though this model is in the mid-range between the budget 5830 and the high-end 5870 models, the bundled DX11 game Alien VS Predator is absolutely playable at 1080p resolution on my 46" HDTV.
